Vista Optical Warranty

We appreciate all of our customers and want to make sure their purchase from Vista Optical is the highest quality. As part of the warranty for Vista Optical, a proof of purchase must be furnished for any replacement or exchange.

Contact Lens Warranty & Refunds

Defective contact lenses (including defects involving material and/or workmanship) will be replaced at no charge within the contact lens manufacturer’s warranty period.

If your doctor changes your contact lenses and/or prescription and those lenses are of equal or lesser value, we will replace them free of charge within the applicable manufacturer’s warranty period. In the case that a doctor prescribes contact lenses that are more expensive, customers are responsible for paying the difference in cost.

If you receive contact lenses that do not meet the prescribing doctor’s original prescription, Vista Optical will exchange those for the correct contacts at no charge to you.

You cannot exchange contact lens vials, blister packs, or multiple lens packages (disposables, planned replacement, etc.) if the unit of sale packaging is opened or defaced.

Vista Optical makes no warranty that you can adapt successfully to contact lens wear. You are responsible for costs incurred with any inability to adapt to contact lenses.

Eyeglasses Warranty & Refunds

Your new eyeglasses are warranted to be free of manufacturer’s defects, which includes material and workmanship, for one year from the date of purchase. Scratching is a normal result of use and is not considered a defect.

If you return your undamaged glasses undamaged within 30 days of receiving them, you will receive a refund for the frames and lenses, no questions asked. If returned after more than 30 days from receiving them, Vista Optical is not required to refund the cost of the purchase, unless the glasses don’t match the original prescription or specifications.

If your doctor determines that you need a new prescription within 60 days of your original exam date, we will replace your eyeglass lenses (with the same style as originally purchased) at no additional cost. Glasses made that don’t meet the prescribing doctor’s original prescription will be remade to the correct specifications free of cost. Any one item may not be replaced more than two times under warranty; any additional replacements are at your expense.

If you’d like to change your lens type but keep your purchased frame, customers must pay the difference if the new lenses are more than the original lenses. Vista Optical offers no refunds for lenses lesser price or value. If it has been more than 30 days after you received your glasses, you must pay for the cost of the replacement lenses.

It can be difficult for some people to adjust to progressive lenses. If this adjustment is unsuccessful, Vista Optical will preplace those progressives with lined bifocal or trifocal lenses at no charge. The difference in price between the progressive lenses and the lined bifocal or trifocal lenses is not refundable.

Want a different eyeglass frame? If it’s been less than 30 days since you received your glasses, you can exchange your frame for one of equal or lesser value if the frame hasn’t been damaged. You will be charged the difference if a more expensive frame is chosen (only 1 frame exchange per order). Lenses will be made to fit the new frame at no cost to you, unless the new lenses cost more than the original lenses. In this case, the customer must pay the difference between the cost of the original lenses and the cost of the new lenses.

Please bring broken frames or broken parts of frames to your nearest Vista Optical location, and we will replace them at no charge to you during the warranty period.

Additional Refund Information

If your prescription changes due to any type of eye surgery, your purchase of glasses or contact lenses is non- refundable. Lost, stolen, or abused products are also excluded from any warranties or refunds. The determination of abuse if made by the manufacturer or by Vista Optical.

Merchandise accompanied by a receipt may be returned within 30 days. Merchandise purchased with cash, traveler’s check or personal check will be refunded by mail. Vista Optical will process refunds for purchases made by personal check 10 days following the date of sale. Amex, Discover, MasterCard or Visa Charge will be returned as an Amex, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa credit. Cash returns under $25.00 will be refunded in cash.
